Robert Tait was born in Aurora, Colorado, graduated from Ponderosa High School, did his undergraduate work at the University of Northern Colorado, and then went to Regis University in Denver. He is one of the rare natives born and raised in Colorado. Robert currently resides in Denver in the Washington Park neighborhood.
Robert has been in the real estate industry since 2009. He has led, taught, coached, and mentored thousands of real estate professionals. Robert prides himself in providing concierge-level service for all of his clients and on being a resource for anything they might need whether it has to do with real estate or not. Robert is in the top 1% of agents in all of Colorado based on units and volume and is one of only 112 agents in the Denver metro to sell multiple million-dollar properties.
He started as a partner in the Keller Williams Highlands Ranch office before becoming the Operating Partner of the Keller Williams Real Estate. As the Operating Partner of that office, Robert quadrupled the business profit and profit share in under three years. From there Robert relaunched Keller Williams Northern Colorado. Within four years, KW Northern Colorado grew to be one of the top five offices in Northern Colorado. Robert also led the Keller Williams Urban Elite Office and founded 5280 Brokers. Most recently, he founded Downing Street Brokers, now known as the Downing Street Group, which is a top-notch real estate team serving the Denver market. Downing Street Group also has private office status with Engle & Volkers.

Robert has been awarded Most Ethical Business Owner, 2nd youngest multiple franchise owner, is a member of the Admission Committee of the University Club in downtown Denver, and a co-chairman of the growth committee at the University Club. He was awarded Top 40 Under 40 in 2019 and was invited to be part of the Top 40 Under 40 selection committee for 2020. He is also the founder of the Denver chapter of the 3 to 5 Club, which is a mastermind group for business owners and entrepreneurs.
Outside of real estate, Robert is passionate about helping other businesses. He helps business owners grow from having a job to owning a business by mentoring them in the team. He also assists them with being more community focused which helps not only the business but the community as a whole.
Robert started Hunger Free 303. The goal of Hunger Free 303 is to connect families and individuals to food resources so no Coloradan goes hungry. The charity also strives to change systems, policies, and social views that relate to hunger in Colorado. Hunger Free 303 puts on benefit concerts and fundraisers, using local artists, to feed Colorado kids.
Robert and his team also helped clean up local Brown Elementary school, he has helped build multiple homes with Habitat for Humanity, and he has been involved with the Women’s Bean Project. Robert is an Eagle Scout, plays cello and plays guitar. He enjoys everything Denver has to offer from biking to camping and fishing to live music and plays. He’s on a lifelong hunt to find the best whiskey and coffee in town.
