The historic Kiowa Garage is steeped in history. Built in the early 1900's, it was the only indoor parking in the town of Kiowa with the inception of "motor vehicles". Originally this down town icon sat next to the hotel and became victim to a fire from one of the motor vehicles being parked inside from a resident of the hotel. This building was rebuilt in 1924 and soon became the full service filling station where it served customers until the 1980's.
